Job Title: Business & Project Manager (CFS)
Reporting To: Sales & Marketing Director
Job Summary:
As Business & Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the Complete Finishing Systems division. You will be responsible for driving sales and profitability, managing complex projects from initial enquiry through to successful delivery, and ensuring seamless collaboration across internal teams and external stakeholders. The Business & Project Manager will have strong experience in technical sales, project management and stakeholder engagement, with the ability to develop strategic growth plans, win profitable orders and deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer expectations.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall sales and profitability of the Complete Finishing Systems area.
- Project-manage a pipeline of opportunities from lead to successful implementation and subsequent handover to the aftermarket team.
- Build and submit quotations and tenders timely and accurately.
- Prepare, negotiate, and close contracts and orders with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Work closely with the Industrial Sales Managers.
- Develop and maintain both a detailed understanding of the competitive landscape and a successful positioning and growth strategy.
- Ensure compliance with UK regulations and standards.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to maximise lead generation.
- Define project objectives, deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
- Assembling and leading project teams, allocating resources, and coordinating with cross-functional groups.
- Identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards.
- Monitoring project progress, managing finances, and ensuring deadlines are met within the approved budget.
- Keeping stakeholders informed about project status, issues, and changes.
- Overcome obstacles and adapt project plans to address unforeseen challenges.
- Dealing with suppliers, co-suppliers, and customers to ensure technical and commercial targets are met.
- Supplier and customer visits.

Requirements:
- Strong ability to motivate teams, communicate effectively, and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Commercially astute and sales orientated.
- Excellent ability to manage multiple tasks, resources, and deadlines efficiently.
- Proficiency with project management tools and software.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience (ideally greater than 10 years).
