Q: What do you do at SurfacePrep?
No two days are the same, and that’s exactly what I love about my role. As Payroll & HR Assistant, I look after the UK payroll, making sure everything runs on time and without a hitch. I also support the wider HR team with a bit of everything: from sitting in on interviews and leading inductions to taking notes in key meetings. A big part of my job is staying on top of employment legislation, helping the business remain compliant as rules and regulations evolve. I’m also currently working towards my CIPD qualification, so I can keep building my skills in both payroll and HR.
Q: What makes SurfacePrep different?
For me, it’s the scale and direction of the business. Since joining the wider group, SurfacePrep has grown massively, both in terms of its global reach and the variety of products and services we offer. But what’s really exciting is the momentum. You can feel the company moving forward, which opens up so many opportunities for people who want to develop and grow with it, no matter where they start.
Q: What do you do when you’re not at work?
I love to travel. Spending time with friends and family, discovering new places, that’s my idea of a perfect break. Sydney, Kotor and the Caribbean are some of my favourite spots so far. When I’m at home, I try to stay active. Running’s my go-to, but I enjoy anything that gets me moving and feeling good.
